Children's Ministry

Our children's ministry is multi faceted.  On Sundays, as Worship begins, one or two children serve as acolytes, bringing in the Light of Christ and lighting the candles. During Worship, there is a children's message that helps the kids understand what the sermon will be about.  After the children's message, the children can sit with their parents or go to the Sunday School class room where they have a lesson and get to do a craft.

Once-a-month we have Children & Youth Sunday.  It is usually on the 3rd Sunday, but sometimes we need to have it on the 4th Sunday.   On this special Sunday not only do the kids light the candles, we have a noisy offering (coins & cash in pails that is a special offering, frequently for the youth program), the kids can volunteer to give the opening prayer, read the scriptures, and take up the regular offering.

Also on Youth Sunday we have DWF Youth for all ages.  It is 1-1.5 hours right after church and includes lunch, study, and FUN.  Check the calendar on this site.  At times, we go on special outings.
